Cadence is run by Dr Charlie Tomlinson MRCVS, and aims to provide an individual and caring service for all your horses and ponies. With 23 years of experience as an equine vet many of which have been serving the Wiltshire area, I feel I am a safe pair of hands for you and your horses. With a keen interest in lameness and poor performance as well as a post graduate qualification in Veterinary Chiropractic, I can provide a holistic approach to help you get the best from your horse or pony, be it aiming for top level competition or just the enjoyment of hacking in the fresh air.
Before settling in the West Country, I worked at a number of well-respected equine hospitals. In addition, I have worked as Team Vet to the British Endurance Development Squad as an FEI Permitted Treating Veterinarian. I’m a competitive person myself and love the thrill of seeing horses I’ve treated perform to the best of their ability. In addition I have strong connections with a number of other sport horse vets in the region and further afield, with which I share and swap ideas about the latest advances in performance horse medicine.
Having worked for Hale Equine for many years, I feel I know what horse owners are looking for in a veterinary practice: a vet who cares, who listens and who is willing to go the extra mile for you. I treat every horse and every owner in the same way: how I would like to be treated when my animals see a vet. This is how I’ve always worked and things won’t change now.
